
Felicia Monteforte is Owner, Head Training Instructor, and Behavior Consultant of MVP Complete Dog Center, LLC, with 10+ years experience in dog training and behavior modification. She has worked in the Bergen County Animal Shelter as a volunteer helping with dog adoptions and dog training before moving to Middlesex County. She now volunteers at the Staten Island Animal Shelter training the dogs there to increase their chances of adoptions.
Felicia's training methods are based on positive reinforcement and clicker training. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and is a member and presenter for Doggone Safe, a non-profit organization dedicated to dog bite prevention education for children and families. She has passed the certification test that the APDT offers for dog trainers, and is working toward her certification with the IAABC. She is also an AKC evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen test.
Felicia has held seminars on "So, You Want a Dog" and the Doggone Safe program "Be a Tree" for children at local libraries and continues to hold seminars at local libraries and schools. Felicia also hosts many seminars and lectures for dog trainers, shelter employees, Veterinarian staff, by Animal Behaviorists, Dog Trainers, and Dog Experts.
Felicia also attends continuing education programs and seminars so she can stay current in all aspects of dog training, behavior modification, nutrition and pet wellness. Felicia and her husband live with 2 German Shepherd dogs, Luke and baby Rex.
